According to a 2017 report from PwC, 61% of jobs in the U.S. financial services sector are at a high risk of being replaced by robots. The same is true for only 32% of finance jobs in the U.K. The risks appear highest in sectors such as transportation and storage (56%), manufacturing (46%) and wholesale and retail (44%), but lower in sectors like health and social work (17%). Advances in Artificial Intelligence has created opportunities and challenges for both industry and society. What will be the impact on companies, jobs, training, income, education, safety, and society from trained, always-learning, automation systems? How will humans interact with deep learning systems and cognitive platforms? What governing principles of AI are needed to guide autonomous decision making in the fields of healthcare, finance, manufacturing, utilities, government, etc.? How can we ensure ethical design principals are embedded in AI software and systems? What are the privacy concerns, policy needs, and security implications for the next wave of advancements in AI? How are organizations beginning to embrace AI?
